Luc Esprit takes over as General Manager of the MAIZ’EUROP’ group

Mr. Luc Esprit, aged 52, took over the general management of the MAIZ’EUROP’ group on March 1, 2005; he was previously deputy general manager of the group and the associated organisations.
He thus takes over the management of the general association of maize growers (AGPM, Association Générale des Producteurs de Maïs), of the maize information centre (CIMAIS, Centre d’Information sur le Maïs), and the association for farming and environmental development in south-western France (ADAESO, Association pour le Développement Agro-Environnemental du Sud-Ouest); he continues to hold the position of director of the French national federation of seed maize and seed sorghum production (FNPSMS, Fédération Nationale de la Production des Semences de Maïs et de Sorgho) which he has held since 2001. Luc Esprit is originally from the Eure département in Upper Normandy; he is a lawyer specialising in rural law, and holds a degree from the “Institut des Hautes Etudes de Droit Rural et d’Economie Agricole”; he also has a degree in sociology and a higher degree in law and land planning.
