ORAMA is the official title chosen by the French association of wheat and cereal growers, AGPB, the French association of maize growers, AGPM, and the French federation of oil and protein seed growers, FOP, as the name of the Union which they founded on March 1 this year.
The official announcement was made on June 14, at the “plant summit” conference (“Sommet du Végétal”), in the presence of the French Minister of Agriculture.
The Greek etymology of the word “orama” means “what is seen” and the message is highlighted by the ORAMA logo, with the middle “A” positioned horizontally, conjuring up the image of an open eye.
ORAMA is the union which emerged from a shared vision of the future for both farms and the organisation of the different sectors concerned. As a single union, ORAMA will be able to exert even greater influence on public decision-makers and provide better service to farmers.
