ORAMA, together with FNSEA, the French national federation of agricultural workers’ unions, have applauded the recent decision by the Minister for the Budget on taxation under single payment schemes, following approaches by ORAMA and FNSEA
As of 2007, payments made under Single Payment Schemes will now be booked on the date of receipt of the letter concluding registration and sent by the local department of agriculture and forestry (DDAF), i.e. in July. Previously it had to be booked on May 15.
With this decision by the Minister for the Budget, many farmers who close their accounts on June 30 can now avoid an unwarranted increase in compulsory charges levied and any additional costs incurred by a change in closing date.
It is good to see that common sense has prevailed.
