For many years now, the AGPM and maize producers have been following an approach designed to bring regular improvements to their practices. The Grenelle consultation process on the environment, which was initiated in 2007, created a new context in society where attention focused on and singled out farming. The environment is a key part of sustainable development and must give due consideration to the other aspects which are social and economic.
Farmers are aware of society’s demand for transparency on farming practices and produce and wish to provide information, e.g. through this Website, reporting on their ideas and approaches to make constant progress, in line with the “Grenelle” approach to the environment.
